THURSDAY, JUNE 23rd 5:00 pm in the library for ages 4-8
6:00 pm in the library for ages 9-12 Evening of Karate Awesomeness- play games and learn some karate techniques with an interactive demo by instructors from Neil Stone’s Karate Academy. Parents will need to sign a waiver for participation. Registration required. |

THURSDAY, JUNE 30th 5:30 pm in the library
“Car Toons”- build your own cardboard “sportscar” and then enjoy some Pixar cartoons at your library “drive-in”. Parent participation required for children under 8, all ages can participate. Registration required. |

Recycle Kites – using recycled materials, learn to make a kite that really flies! Hey, kid, go fly a kite! All ages can participate, adult supervision required for children under 8. Registration required. |

Meet Your Hometown Heroes- meet and greet policemen, firemen, and E.M.T.’s from Brookline and check out the cool vehicles they use. Cookies and beverages provided. All ages, no registration required.

Good Eats in Brookline – cook up some creative, healthy snacks, talk about science and your kitchen, and enjoy the best use (in our opinion) of soda- to create a geyser! Ages 8 and up. Registration required. |

Fun with Things That Fly- learn and practice the basics of Frisbee golf, try to throw a boomerang, and assemble and fly your own balsa glider. All ages can participate, adult supervision requested. Registration required. |

Special Stargazing Event- Saturday, August 13th, 8:30 pm at the Brookline Ballfield - View the Perseid Meteor Shower, try to see Mercury (we hope!) and learn to use the library telescope. Registration preferred but not required, children should be accompanied by an adult.
